How to make tea with black cumin
Black cumin, also known as Nigella sativa, is often used for its medicinal properties and as a spice in many Middle Eastern and South Asian cuisines. While it is not typically used to make tea, you can brew a simple tea with black cumin by following these steps:
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of black cumin seeds
2 cups of water
Honey or sugar to taste (optional)
Instructions:
Add the black cumin seeds and water to a small pot.
Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once the water comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer the black cumin seeds for 5-10 minutes.
After simmering, turn off the heat and let the mixture steep for an additional 5-10 minutes.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a teapot or individual cups.
Sweeten with honey or sugar to taste, if desired.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Note: Black cumin tea has a strong and slightly bitter taste, so you may need to experiment with the amount of black cumin seeds and steeping time to find the right balance for your taste. Also, it's always best to consult with your doctor or a healthcare professional before consuming black cumin if you have any health concerns or are taking medication.
